Shawdesh Desk: Again a Bangladeshi expatriate was shot to death in South Africa by unidentified miscreants. This was the third killing of Bangladeshi men in the last 100 days in that very country.
The deceased was identified as Iqbal Hossain, hailed from Charayani village in Daudkandi upazila in Cumilla district.
Unknown hooligans swooped on Iqbal near Starkspirit Paulmit area of the Eastern Cape Province in South Africa around 7:00 pm (local time) on Friday (Sep 6) evening while he was going to deliver goods to a Bangladeshi grocery.
The miscreants shot several rounds of bullet targeting Iqbal and he died on the spot.
Earlier on June 24 (Monday), a Bangladeshi youth Alamgir Hossein, 28, a resident of Kanchanbazar area in Charjabbar Union of Subornachar Upazila under Noakhali, was shot dead in Muffiking town in Northwest Province of South Africa.
Another Bangladeshi youth Shahadat Hossain, 24, son of Estefaz Uddin of Borhatia union under Lohagara upazila of Chattogram, was gunned down on June 2 (Sunday) at East Ran Diepsloot of Johannesburg in South Africa.
